Jason Turner is from Jackson, MS and is a singer and songwriter of considerable skill. He is a craftsman who, with ease and effortlessness, can combine influences from contemporary country music, alternative-country, blues, and the wide spectrum of contemporary pop-rock into a bright and confident new sound that belongs only to him.
Jason has been performing on stages across the Southeast for over 19 years. He has toured extensively, performing over 200 shows a year in cities like New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Nashville. Turner has also won over 20 Best of Jackson Awards, including the 2016 awards for Best Rock Artist/Band and Best Singer.
His new album Reset on Old Trace Records was released on Dec. 2. The album's title has a dual meaning for him, he says. The first came from concepts that he dealt with on "Starting Over," the first track on the album.
Jason writes all of his own songs and draws his lyrics from his personal life.
